Well, I did warn you. I don't do repetitive tasks well. It's been over 2 months since I last typed here!!!!!
What have I done? Wish I knew. Worked, worked, did Emergency Services stuff. Worked. Spent time with the family..
OK, let's see what I can remember. Last update was.... June 9.
=====>Mozilla tabs are really cool. I have to use IE most of the time, wish they'd figure out tabs!
=====>---->This is my way of indicating nonsequitars. This is a nested nonsquitar (spelling?)
=====>Tabs allow you to do things like look up a date, while still editing the doc you were on
=====>---->I'm using Mozilla because I finally got a Linux box up at my place again.
Since June 9, we've been on the Disney Cruise, been to the beech, I've been to Omaha, DC (family included), Toronto, and Birmingham, AL. A couple of those trips have been with Mark Turner. I'll link his blog when I can figure out how.
In the last few days, I've gotten Brandon a Dell, which is why I've got a Linux Box. I've set up said Linux Box (RedHat 9) and then got a wild hair (OK, paranoid hair) and decided to update my firewall. Moved from Mandrakes Single Network Firewall to the Multi Network Firewall. Made it all work in less than 2 hours. Then touched it. 4 hours later, it all works again.
This is long enough, I'm moving to extended entry
Ok, still can't figure out how to do a hyperlink, but I will in time.
On the emergency services side, I finally finished First Responder, got back with REDS team a little. We did confined space entry, ERT ladders, and a training session at a food processor. We pulled someone out of a flour silo, then lowered them down the side of said 60 foot tall silo. Interesting exercise.
We even made the local news channel for the confined space entry training.
I'm attempting to get dive certified, but don't know if that's going to work out. One Canceled class, one class I couldn't get to, and had no idea where to go for the Saturday class. We'll get there eventually.
OK, I'm getting tired. Time to pack it in for the night.
